The Desert Aires Barbershop Chorusis more than just an a cappella ensemble, it is a family. We love getting together each week, and sharing friendships as well as great music.

Our Chorus has over 70 members with an average age of 76. They represent 23 different states prior to moving to Arizona.

Our Chorus has won Division A Plateau championship for several years.

 

If you like to sing, you're invited to visit the Desert Aires and discover great harmony at work! Sitting in on one of our rehearsals is the perfect way to find out more about us, and what we can do for you!

You'll have the opportunity to hear us perform four-part, a cappella harmony, and you'll be invited to join us on the risers to experience the music, friendship and fun for which the Desert Aires Chorus is known!

What is being done due to the Pandemic?

 

We have been meeting via Zoom, twice a month. However,

 

We will be returning to in person rehearsals April 6th. (everybody is welcome, and must abide, and follow all the required safety protocols, in order to enter the meeting). 


1.  Wear a mask upon entering the church and until you are in the choir room.


2.  Must have had both shots for Covid-19 – either Pfizer or Moderna – show card the first time.


3. Was your second shot 2 or more weeks prior to April 6, 2021?


4. Have your temperature taken – must be less than 100 degree Fahrenheit.  


5. Have your oxygen % taken – must be 90% or more. 

     

6. Social distancing will be optional for those who prefer.


7. Wear your mask when leaving the choir room.


8. Answer a series of questions while wearing your mask

 

                     THE GROUP OF 3 QUESTIONS


1. Have you experienced any of the following now or in the last 10 days?   COUGHING, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, FEVER, FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS such as HEADACHE, FATIGUE, CHILLS?


2.  Have you been in contact with anyone who has experienced these symptoms?


3.  Do you live with or have had close contact with an individual who has tested POSITIVE for Covid-19 within the past 10 days?

 

Guests are always welcome to any Desert Aires Rehearsal


When?  Tuesdays, 12:30 to 3:03 PM.

Sectional rehearsals 11:30 to 12:30 on a revolving schedule.

Where?  Belleview Heights Church, 9440 W. Hutton Dr., Sun City, AZ  85351      (Off Bell Rd. and Burns Dr.)


Why?  There are so many reasons to join! Spend time with a great group of men, learn some amazing, classic songs, and get a chance to perform and strut your stuff!
